Daily Basic Maintenance and Safety Precautions:
Proper care is essential for the longevity and performance of your electric scooters, also known as Personal Mobility Devices (PMDs). Follow these maintenance tips:
Power Off and Disconnect: Before any maintenance, turn off the scooter and disconnect the charger.
Dust Removal: Use a soft, dry microfibre cloth to dust all exposed parts.
Cleaning: Clean with a slightly damp cloth using a small amount of liquid detergent or glass cleaner. Wipe scooter seats with soft disinfectant wipes.
Avoid Wetting Electrical Components: Do not get electrical components wet; gently dust instead. Avoid spraying water or liquid cleaners directly onto the scooter.
Avoid Harsh Cleaners: Do not use wax, oil, or harsh cleaners.
Dry Thoroughly: Wipe the e-scooter gently with a dry cloth until completely dry.
Protective Cover: Drape a cover over your e-scooter to prevent dust buildup.
Regular Checks: Check tire treads for wear, replace thinning/bald tires. Check battery voltage and replace damaged batteries promptly.
Adjustable Parts: Adjust movable parts like the steering bar, wheels, seat, levers, etc., to ensure consistent functioning.
Precautions:
Avoid Riding in Wet Conditions: Do not ride on rainy days or wet ground to prevent submerging the electric system.
Avoid Overcharging: Do not overcharge the battery, especially overnight.
Charging Safety: Place charging batteries on hard, flat surfaces for optimal heat dissipation. Avoid placing charging batteries near combustible materials.
